one issue with on-line software update corruption and subsequent non-
booting machine - fixed by using target mode
and downloaded combo update.
Supposedly better with SCSI devices that got broken in 10.4.10, but
Safari is a different
animal - advisable to remove any extra menu enablers/enhancers/ (e.g.
SafariPlus) before
upgrading. Also the usual permissions cleanup / disk check before
proceeding
Safari 3 is different and may have issues with web/java based
operations -
e.g. Gmail, php based stuff with java (forums).
On the production side (FCP6, Adobe CS )it appears to be business as
usual
