I have this theory that the longer you've been dealing with OS X  
Server, the less likely you are to go look at Apple's documentation.

Primarily because the documentation used to be close to useless, but  
it really has gotten a lot better, particularly since 10.5.

The command line document in particular has a whole series of  
awesomely useful tips and commands for working with lots of the  
services.

for sure! we have a rather interesting article up about using MCX in  
the DSLocal domain in 10.5 if I do say so myself.... :)
