[UniMacTech] Endnote 9 crashing when connecting to external reference databases

Hi there gurus,

Has anyone else experienced Endnote 9 crashing when connecting to  
external reference databases? Can run a remote search but the  
application crashing immediately after the search is executed. This is  
happening to a number of our users running 10.4. Done a clean install,  
deleted plist files etc. Also doesn't seem to be a proxy issue.  
Endnote x might be a solution but we have to purchase licenses so  
would like to try and get 9 working if possible.
