[UniMacTech] default permissions for smb shares on 10.5?

Darryl,
You can configure the mask in the GUI in 10.5 if you want it the same
for files and directories:
1. Open Server Admin and connect to server
2. Click the File Sharing tab
3. Select your share and in the "Share Point" tab at the bottom, click
Protocol Options
4. In the SMB tab set the Default permissions for new files & folders
You can configure this from the command line using the "sharing" tool,
and the -c and -d options. You can read the manpage for sharing for

And for the curious, the information about each share is stored in /
var/samba/shares in 10.5.
