** AUC offers WWDC Scholarships to Staff and Students **

The AUC today announced that it would be offering Scholarships to
University
staff and students to attend this years Apple World Wide Developers
Conference (WWDC) being held in the USA in June 2008.

In 2008 the AUC will subsidise a number of staff and students selected
on a
nationally competitive basis to attend WWDC. Each AUC Member University
has
also been allocated one Scholarship to be used either at WWDC in June
2008
or MacWorld in January 2009.

To be eligible to obtain a scholarship you should be a full time staff
member or student of an Australian AUC Member University, have a
background
in programming (Mac, UNIX or Windows), QuickTime and digital media or
work
as an IT Manager with responsibility for Macintosh deployment on campus.

Successful Scholarship recipients in 2008 receive a WWDC E-Ticket as
well as
a financial subsidy to assist in covering the cost of:

*    Return economy airfares to San Francisco, USA from Australia.
*    Twin-share Accommodation in San Francisco at the Courtyard Marriott
     for up to 7 days.

Staff interested in the Allocated Scholarship should contact their local
AUCDF Co-ordinator to check on their local closing date. An application
form
is available on the AUC web site.

Staff and Students interested in the Competitive Scholarships must apply
by
completing an application form available on the AUC web site.
Applications
close on4 April 2008.
