Hi Allen,

It sounds like you're having a bit of a hard time. There's a lot of
problems listed, and not a lot of details, so I'd probably suggest
ensuring that you're running the latest version of 10.5 (10.5.5) and
trying again. You may also want to open up the Console app in /
Applications/Utilities to see if anything interesting is being
reported there.

You mention that the symptoms started when trying Adobe's updater, so
it possible, it might be worth trying things without having run
Adobe's updater. You didn't mention how to create a machine (e.g.,
from install discs, from an SOE image, etc), so perhaps there was a
problem in the steps taken there?

One thing to keep in mind is that the issues do appear to be network
related:

	- being unable to find adobe's server
	- unable to connect to print server
	- file already in use or left open - unsure whether this is network
related but could be if you're running network home directories, etc...

If none of the above heads you towards a resolution, perhaps you
should start with a vanilla 10.5 system, do the Apple software
updates, and then start testing each of the areas that aren't working
at each stage as you add/change the system to work for you.
