[UniMacTech] Kerberos and Linux clients

All,

I am setting up a new OSX 10.5.5 Server for a school. The school runs a
mixture of Windows, Mac and Linux workstations which all authenticate to
a OSX (currently 10.4.11) Server. They also mount their home directories
from the same server.

I have been told, with the Linux machines, to kerberise NFS so it is a
little more secure. Currently I am using a test Linux machine with
Ubuntu 804 on it. It authcates fine to the new OSX Server, however the
issue I am having is how do you export the keytab from the Mac Server to
the Linux client so I can do secure NFS mounts.

Kerberos client packages are installed on the Ubuntu machine, and it
gets a ticket fine from the OSX server.

All the documentation, for both Ubuntu and Mac OSX Server, kinda skims
over the "exporting keytab" part. They seem to guess that you know the
command/s for exporting keytab files from servers to clients, but I am
having no luck at all with working out what you do.

This issue is one of the last problems I have with the server before I
start rebuilding it for production use, so if anyone else has had
experience with NFS with Kerberos, I'd love a hand :)

Thanks in advance,

- Declan
