country that wants OS and iLife support from Apple, or their staff calling
Apple for support instead of in-house IT Support? Talk about not understanding
your client's needs!</font>

<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Leaving aside that awful email for a
moment, we've received some information from Apple on the changes to APP
for ed institutions.</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">There's two options for the 3-year APP</font>
<br>
<ul>
<li><font size=3>APP with onsite through Accredited Apple Service Providers
(3 year global hardware warranty, 3 year phone support, onsite repair -
best efforts)</font>
<li><font size=3>APP with onsite NBD SLA (delivered by Unisys - includes
3 year global hardware coverage, 3 year phone support)</font></ul>
<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">There's a document describing the pricing
for the two options which I imagine is available from your friendly neighbourhood
Account Manager, but I think it's about $50 more for the Unisys/NBD service.
On the plus side, it is now a global warranty (tricare was Au only), which
might be useful once every couple of years or so.</font>
